My advice:

The scarf may seem inconspicuous because the material is relatively thin, but you can also use it wonderfully in winter. I took it with me on winter vacation in Iceland and I can tell you, it was worth its weight in gold! You can snuggle up really nicely and pull it up to your nose. Some also use it for skiing!
